Ajaz Patel of New Zealand is the best player of the ICC

Ajaz Patel of New Zealand is the best player of the ICC. The offspinner was the best of December with 10 wickets in an innings against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Ejaz was nominated this time along with Mayank Agarwal and Mitchell Starc. He defeated two star cricketers from India and Australia on a rare record.
Ajaz took 14 wickets in the Mumbai Test against India in early December. Jim Laker and Anil Kumble became the third players in Test history to take 10 wickets in the first innings.

This was Ajaz's first tour of India with a Test team. He wrote fairy tales in Mumbai where he was born. At the end of the first day of the Test, his name was next to all four Indian wickets. The next day he took two wickets in a row in the first session, but did not score a hat-trick. However, all the Indian batsmen said goodbye to him. Ejaz also received greetings from the opposing camp on the basis of such fame. "Personally I think this is one of the best cricket days of my life and probably forever," he said at the end of the match.
